China and the U.S. agreed to maintain communication on economic ties as senior officials from the two countries held video talks on Wednesday morning, China's Commerce Ministry said. In the conversations between Chinese Vice Premier Liu He, also the chief of the Chinese side of the China-U.S. comprehensive economic dialogue, and U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, highlighted the importance of China-U.S. economic relations.

The World Health Organization validated the CoronaVac COVID-19 vaccine developed by Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac for emergency use on Tuesday. Earlier in May, WHO has issued Interim recommendations for the use of the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine developed by the China National Pharmaceutical Group.
当地时间6月1日，世卫组织宣布将中国科兴新冠疫苗列入“紧急使用清单”。科兴疫苗也是继国药疫苗之后，被纳入世卫组织“紧急使用清单”的第二款中国新冠疫苗。

The first pair of exchange-traded funds (ETF) under a cross-listing scheme has officially gone public in Shanghai and Hong Kong on Tuesday. Investors can now directly invest in ETF via the Shanghai-Hong Kong ETF Connect. The new mechanism allows investors to invest in both locations without opening new local accounts.
6月1日，首对沪港ETF互通产品于上交所与港交所同步上市。新机制允许两地投资者直接通过沪港ETF互通进行交易，无需开设新的本地账户。
China will promote the standardized development of supply chain finance, effectively broaden the financing channels for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and ensure more funds flow to the real economy, according to the central bank.
中国人民银行表示，将推动供应链金融规范发展，有效拓宽中小微企业融资渠道，确保更多资金流向实体经济。
China's property loans increased at the slowest pace over the past eight years in April, an official at the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission said Tuesday. As of the end of April, loans to the property sector expanded by 10.5 percent year on year, a growth rate at an eight-year low.

China will act to address the challenges facing the country's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) due to the recent hike in commodity prices, officials said Tuesday.

Chinese stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.76 percent, at 3,597 points. Shares related to electricity and coal led the gains, while those in the steel and medical equipment sectors were among the biggest losers.
中国股市周三小幅下跌，沪指收报3597点，跌0.76%，电力与煤炭股等周期板块领涨，钢铁和医疗器械领跌。
