为庆祝东京奥运会开幕，世嘉宣布 Steam 版《2020东京奥运 官方授权游戏》现已开启免费试玩活动。本次免费试玩活动为期 3 天，将于7 月 27 日结束。
《2020东京奥运 官方授权游戏》此前于 2019 年登陆了 PS4 和 Switch 平台，2021 年 6 月 22 日登陆 Xbox Series X|S / Xbox One / Steam / Stadia 平台。目前，本作在 Steam 上的评价为“褒贬不一”。
