某日，源公与明乾师去菜地，累了，坐石墩上休息。
一条小虫向源公爬来，源公一直用眼睛看着它，离源公还有两尺远时，他对明乾师说：“你给它打个皈依。”

明乾师念皈依时，小虫就不爬了，皈依后，源公起身，用拐棍把小虫子拨了一下，明乾师惊讶地发现小虫子已经死了。
明乾师问：“它怎么死啦？”
源公说：“你法力大嘛！”
