《华尔街日报》2月17日消息，华特迪士尼公司表示计划开始开发住宅社区，首先将在加州科切拉谷（Coachella Valley）的Rancho Mirage开发一个住宅社区。
迪士尼表示，新的住宅开发业务将被命名为Storyliving by Disney。
迪士尼称，正在与DMB Development合作开发Rancho Mirage社区。迪士尼表示，将包括至少一个专为55岁以上居民设计的区块。房屋类型包括豪华住宅、独栋住宅和公寓。迪士尼说，正在考虑美国其他地点进行未来的开发。
