3月8日，世界卫生组织负责欧洲事务的高级应急官员凯瑟琳·斯莫尔伍德（Catherine Smallwood）在新闻发布会上表示，最近几天，俄乌冲突中针对乌医院、救护车和其他医疗设施的袭击迅速增加，乌克兰正面临重要医疗物资短缺。世卫组织证实，针对医疗设施的16起袭击事件，已造成至少9人死亡。
