黄柳霜是首位美籍华人好莱坞影星，1905年1月3日-1961年2月2日。在影片《红灯照》中，她首次登上银幕，其后又在《羞耻》、《海上灾祸》、《雷鸣的黎明》等片中出演重要角色。1924年，在D.范朋克主演的神话片《巴格达窃贼》中扮演蒙古女奴一角而成名。1961年初，因心脏病发作去世。
