《疯狂的麦克斯4：狂暴之路》前传《疯狂的麦克斯：弗瑞奥萨（Furiosa）》现已正式开拍。弗瑞奥萨来自于2015年电影《疯狂的麦克斯4》中查理兹·塞隆饰演的角色Imperator Furiosa。
影片主演之一Chris Hemsworth（“锤哥”）在社交媒体上分享了一张照片，上面写着“《疯狂的麦克斯》传说新征程开始了。”锤哥将和Anya Taylor-Joy一起主演这部电影。
导演Miller称这部续集是一个“传说”，时间跨度长达15年时间，而上一作时间跨度仅仅只有3天。
