毛宏芳一行来宁波诺丁汉大学调研指导工作

6月9日下午，浙江省委教育工委副书记，省教育厅党组书记、厅长毛宏芳到宁波诺丁汉大学调研，宁波市副市长朱欢，市教育局党委书记、局长毛才盛等领导参加调研。宁波诺丁汉大学党委书记、万里教育集团董事长应雄，执行校长尼克·迈尔斯，党委副书记、副校长沈伟其，科研副校长周荫强，副校长、理工学院院长吴韬等陪同。

毛宏芳充分肯定了学校建校18年来所取得的成绩，希望学校发挥国际化办学优势，整合全球优势科创资源，打通国际产学研用链条，教学与科研齐头并进，在新的发展阶段开启新征程。

对宁波诺丁汉大学新时期的发展，毛宏芳提出五个“借”: 第一，借机。在国内国际双循环新发展格局下，宁波诺丁汉大学要充分发挥国际化独有优势，把握机遇趁势而上；第二，借题。宁波诺丁汉大学要以“如何打造具有国际标杆意义的学科”为命题，聚焦发力；第三，借梯。站在百年名校英国诺丁汉大学的肩膀上，借助诺丁汉大学的全球网络整合资源；第四，借力。借助地方支持，与本地的行业产业实现深度交融；第五，借智。汇聚全球专家学者的智慧，建设智库力量再攀高峰。

毛宏芳表示，省教育厅将一如既往大力支持宁波诺丁汉大学的发展，期盼学校下步取得新的成绩。

宁波诺丁汉大学执行校长尼克·迈尔斯教授对毛宏芳一行来访表示热烈欢迎，真诚感谢省市政府对学校一贯以来的全方位支持。他说：“我们正在积极谋划下一个阶段的发展，并设定了‘十四五’期间的具体目标。”未来五年，宁波诺丁汉大学将建设一批具有国际领先水平的学科，以建设诺丁汉大学卓越灯塔计划（宁波）创新研究院（以下简称“灯塔研究院”）为契机，大力引进国际一流人才，提高研究生培养的规模和水平，为浙江和宁波的高质量发展服务。

学校党委书记应雄汇报了中外合作大学党建工作以及灯塔研究院的推进进展。宁波诺丁汉大学坚持以党建引领办学、坚持英国诺丁汉大学学术质量标准、坚持办学服务地方、坚持国际化特色，培养了一批批具有家国情怀及全球视野的优秀人才。当前，宁波诺丁汉大学迈入了新的发展阶段，学校将充分发挥国际化办学优势，以灯塔研究院为重大平台引进国际科创资源，建设智能制造、绿色化学与能源、生命健康三大中心，助力宁波“246”产业升级。研究院入驻高新区仅一年时间，已入驻16个团队，在航空先进制造、新型磁共振成像技术、绿色化学等领域取得成果。

宁波市副市长朱欢对宁波诺丁汉大学国际化办学特色给予了肯定，期望学校继续扎实推进人才引育工作，把准学科发展定位，探索产学研协同发展，产出一批全球领先的科研成果。

On 9 June, Mao Hongfang, Director of the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province visited and inspected the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC). He was also joined by Zhu Huan, Vice Mayor of Ningbo City, and Mao Caisheng, Party Secretary and Director of Ningbo Education Bureau. Mao Hongfang hailed the achievements made by the university over the past 18 years since its establishment, and hoped the university would start a new journey in its next stage of development by making full use of its unique position as a Sino-foreign cooperative university with global academic resources and first-class international education.

Nick Miles, Provost of UNNC, warmly welcomed Mao Hongfang and the delegate to the university and stated that the university is looking forward to the next stage of its development in accordance with the 14th Five-Year Plan. He said, “We will continue to provide high-quality international education, attract world-class talent, expand our postgraduate education programmes, and serve the high-quality development of Zhejiang and Ningbo.” Ying Xiong, Party Secretary of UNNC stated that the university will keep the "Nottingham quality" and strengthen its international educational features, meeting the demands of the local community as well as high expectations from the government.

Ningbo’s vice mayor, Zhu Huan, also remarked on UNNC’s unique advantages of internationalisation and hoped that the university would continue to focus on talent cultivation, and produce world-class research to improve the lives of people locally and around the globe.
