美国前国务卿蓬佩奥周日（1日）出席一个电台节目时向中国泼了脏水，称中国取消新冠防疫限制并让国民出境外游，将导致全球数百万人感染新冠，呼吁美国等全球领导人阻止中国人向全球播毒。
蓬佩奥还重提意大利米兰于2020年刚爆疫时，医院和停尸房饱和，而这情况现时可能重演。他还称一半的中国人口会出游，没有理由让中方让感染者出境，在全球范围播毒。
