The first National Hydrogen Power Quality Inspection and Testing Center was officially inaugurated in Liangjiang New Area of southwestern China’s Chongqing City on January 9, reported Securities Times.
The center, invested by CAERI (中国汽研), will build a test & evaluation (T&E) system covering the whole industrial chain of hydrogen energy. It plans to build five major test laboratories - vehicle, powertrain, fuel cell, hydrogen energy auxiliary parts, and battery & motor, according to the Securities Times report.
It will also provide technical consulting services in various fields such as fuel cell stack and key components, hydrogen storage and power system, and fuel cell vehicle.
Founded in 1965 and listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2012, CAERI is a first-class research institute in China. It engages in regulatory testing and design verification/product validation (DV/PV) tests of NEVs, said the Securities Times report.
