To further facilitate cross-border travel, China has decided to apply a visa-free policy to six more countries on a trial basis, which involves travelers holding ordinary passports from Switzerland, Ireland, Hungary, Austria, Belgium and Luxembourg. From Mar 14, 2024 until Nov 30, 2024, citizens from the above-mentioned countries holding ordinary passports can be exempted from visa to enter China and stay for no more than 15 days for business, tourism, family visit and transit purposes. For those travelers, who do not meet the criteria for visa free policy still need to apply for visa in advance before entering China.
外交部领事司7日发布:为进一步促进中外人员往来,中方决定扩大免签国家范围,对瑞士、爱尔兰、匈牙利、奥地利、比利时、卢森堡6个国家持普通护照人员试行免签政策。2024年3月14日至11月30日期间,上述国家持普通护照人员来华经商、旅游观光、探亲访友和过境不超过15天,可免签入境。上述国家不符合免签条件人员仍需在入境前办妥来华签证。
