根据知名爆料人Nate The Hate的消息称，《毁灭战士》可能会在今年年内发布新作品，在Resetera论坛上，有玩家询问了Nate The Hate今年是否能看到《毁灭战士》系列新作，Nate The Hate回复表示“That's the plan”（这就是计划）。
除此之外，Nate The Hate没有再透露更多消息，但考虑到6月即将举办新Xbox游戏展示会活动，如果《毁灭战士》新作真实存在的话，可能会在该展示会上正式公布。
