当地时间6月19日，美国中央司令部（CENTCOM）表示，已击毙极端组织“伊斯兰国”（ISIS）高级官员乌萨马·贾迈勒·穆罕默德·易卜拉欣·贾纳比（Usamah Jamal Muhammad Ibrahim al-Janabi）。消息称他于6月16日在叙利亚的一次空袭中丧生。
中央司令部还表示，他的死亡将破坏“伊斯兰国”（ISIS）提供资源和实施恐怖袭击的能力。
