Q：Hi ! As a veteran who joined CPP in 2023, can you please give a brief introduction of yourself.

你好！2023年入职管道局的“老员工”，先给大家简单介绍一下自己吧！

Hello, everyone! My name is Yang Yuze. I graduated from the University of Birmingham, UK in 2023 with a Master's degree in Engineering Management. I feel greatly honored to join CPP International as a new employee last year, and now I am stationed in Tanzania, working on the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project.

大家好！我叫杨禹泽，2023年，我毕业于英国伯明翰大学工程管理专业并获得硕士研究生学位,我很荣幸地加入到管道局这个大家庭，成为国际公司的一名新员工，现在的我派驻在坦桑尼亚，正在参与 EACOP 东非原油管道外输项目的建设。

The EACOP project, stretching 1539 kilometers, is a prominent project that has garnered significant attention in Africa, and it is also a beacon of hope for the people of Uganda and Tanzania. As a young person starting my career, it is really lucky for me to witness this model project exemplifying the close cooperation between China and Africa under the Belt and Road Initiative. Of course, CPP is involved in many such international projects.

东非原油外输管道工程项目，总长1539公里，是非洲瞩目的重点工程，更是乌干达和坦桑尼亚两国人民的希望寄托。做为一名青年人，一参加工作就能见证中非国家之间一带一路紧密合作的典范工程，真的是很幸运。当然在管道局这样的国际型工程是很多的。

Q：You have been working at CPP for a year now. What challenges have you encountered and what growth have you gained in your work and life?

转眼间，你入职管道局一年了，在工作和生活中，你遇到了哪些挑战又收获了哪些成长呢？

Well, speaking of challenges, I was fortunate enough to participate in the "50 Years ·Prime of Youth" Elite English Speaking Contest organized by CPP last year. After fierce competition, I finally won the first prize. This achievement laid a solid foundation for my smooth transition into the Contract and Document Control Department. Since then, I have been responsible for change claims on this large-scale pipeline project.

说到挑战，去年我有幸参加管道局组织的“50年·正青春”管道菁英英语口语大赛，经过激烈的角逐，最终荣获大赛一等奖，为我顺利加入合同文控部搭建了牢固的基石。此后，我专职负责这一大型管道项目的变更索赔和管理工作。

The integration of different countries, regions, and diverse ideas and cultures has broadened my horizons. Effective communication with COMPANY and local staff to secure additional benefits for the project has become a routine part of my daily work. While the working environment here is excellent, it is the collective effort of everyone that is key to the successful completion of the project.

不同国家、不同地域、不同的思想、文化的交融，开阔了我的眼界。与业主、属地化员工进行有效沟通，尽可能的为项目争取更多的利益，可以说是我每天常态化的工作状态，当然，这里的工作氛围很好，但大家齐心协力，才是项目成功建设的关键。

Speaking of gains, CPP has provided many positions and opportunities for young employees, allowing us to quickly grow and bring our youthful energy to the enterprise. It can be said that working and living in Tanzania has been both challenging and rewarding, with abundant opportunities for growth and making lasting friendships.

说到收获，管道局给与青年员工很多岗位和很多机会，让我们尽快的提升自己，为企业贡献自己的青春力量。可以说，在坦桑尼亚的工作与生活中，真的是既充满了挑战，又收获了友谊。

Q：Yuze, since you are currently on the front lines of pipeline construction, why don't you show us what your living accommodations are like?

禹泽，既然你现在正奋战在管道工程建设一线，那就带大家看看你住的地方如何？

Sure! Let me give you a brief tour of our project camp. First, we arrive at our living quarters. This area is not only well-equipped but also warm and cozy, serving as a gathering place for everyone after work.

好呀！那我就带大家简单参观一下项目营地，首先来到的是我们的生活、休息区，这里不仅设施齐全，也温馨舒适，是下班后大家小聚的地方。

Up ahead is our canteen. We have a dedicated management team that handles food procurement and supply, ensuring healthy and safe meals of all our employees.

再往前走，就是我们的食堂，我们拥有专门的管理团队，负责食品的采购和供应，保证每名员工的健康饮食安全。

Whether it's steamed cold noodles or Yangrou Paomo, we can enjoy hometown delicacies every day, which makes us feel the warmth of home even while in a foreign country. The project also hosts a team-building event themed "Let Us Witness Your Growth" for employees' birthdays. Every month, we celebrate the birthdays of new employees together, helping everyone feel the collective warmth and care despite the busy work schedules.

无论是凉皮，还是羊肉泡馍，每天都能品尝到来自家乡的美食，这让我们在异国他乡也能感受到家的温暖。项目还举办“让我们见证你的成长”为主题的员工生日团建活动。每月为过生日的新员工集中过生日，让每位员工在繁忙的工作之中感受集体温暖与关怀。

In addition, CPP regularly organizes cultural activities, such as basketball, badminton , table tennis as well as cultural activities popular among young people. These events effectively promotes team building and communication, so that we can relax physically and mentally after work, and better integrate into the big family of CPP, and further enhance employees’ sense of belonging to the company.

此外，项目部还定期组织文化活动，如篮球比赛、羽毛球比赛、乒乓球比赛等各种年轻人喜爱的文化活动，有效促进团队建设与沟通交流，让我们在工作之余能够放松身心，更好地融入到CPP这个大家庭里，进一步增强员工对企业的归属感。

Through a series of activities such as visiting museum, CPP not only hopes to expand the horizons and knowledge of its employees, but also actively foster a corporate culture that cares for and supports the all-round development of its employees.

通过定期参观博物馆等系列活动，管道局不仅希望拓展员工的视野和知识面，还积极营造关怀和支持员工全面发展的企业文化氛围。
