My name is Jack Hergenrother and l'm the Vice President of Global Enterprise SystemsDevelopment .

We have an important management decision to share with you today

To support our global clients and our business strategy, lBM infrastructure has decided toshift the development missions from the China Systems Lab to other lBM infrastructurelocations overseas.

We are exiting all of the development mission in China

As you all know, BM infrastructure continues its transformation to help unlock the fullvalue that our organization has to offer, and to help us achieve sustainable business inchallenging global markets.

This transformation is influenced by market dynamics and fierce competition.

The infrastructure business in China has declined in recent years

For IBM Z,we have made the difficult decision to shift our development to other countriesbased on market opportunities and to have operations closer to our clients.

In storage, we are consolidating our development work into fewer locations to respond tofierce competition.

Infrastructure's co-location strategy is global

Co-location is not specific to China

We have made this hard business decision to move certain development missions to gainefficiencies and streamline operations.
