劳尔于2015年退役，2018年8月，他重返皇马担任U15主教练。2019年6月，劳尔成为皇马卡斯蒂亚主帅，如今他已执教球队5年时间。此前，有媒体报道称，只要皇马主席弗洛伦蒂诺在任，他就不会任命劳尔担任一线队主教练。
