当地时间10月28日凌晨，在美国俄勒冈州波特兰地区和华盛顿州温哥华附近，至少三个总统大选投票箱因被放入“燃烧装置”而起火，导致数百张选票被损坏。美国俄勒冈州波特兰警察局发言人迈克·本纳在新闻发布会上表示，从燃烧装置中找到的材料表明，这几起大选投票箱遭纵火案都有关联，一辆可疑汽车已进入警方视线。
