缅媒报道，近几个月内，缅甸地震发生频率增加。12月1日，伊洛瓦底省坚景镇辖区为中心也发生了地震。
12月1日午间2点27分44秒，勃固省东吁地震监测中心监测到伊洛瓦底省坚景镇西－西北面4英里区域为中心，北纬18.35度，东经95.19度发生了震源深度为50千米的4.9级地震。
因地震发生频率增加，为此地质学家建议各省邦地区民众需要提高警惕。
