Many pet owners may have experienced the annoyance of being rejected by taxis when taking their furry friends with them. Fortunately, this may now become a thing of the past.

Didi Chuxing, a leading car-hailing service provider in China, has launched pet-friendly rides which allow passengers to travel with their furry companions.

The service was first unveiled across 49 major cities in August, and more recently has been promoted across the entire country.

To use the service, pet owners need only to open the Didi Chuxing app, and find "宠物出行 (Travel with a pet)".

If you don't find the pet icon on the homepage, click "更多服务 (More services)".

You also need to choose basic information about your pet, including its type and size.

Then enter the destination and select the type of vehicle you want to take before hailing a ride.

There are two types of vehicles available—Didi Express, which offers more affordable services, and Didi Premier, which is operated by high-end vehicles.

无论是带毛孩子去医院看病、去交朋友抑或去旅游，携宠出行是每个“铲屎官”的必经之路。因为多数城市限制或禁止乘客携带犬、猫等动物乘坐公共交通工具，长时间以来，携宠出行是件头疼的事情。

为了更好地满足养宠人士的携宠出行需求，今年8月，滴滴宠物专车已上线北京、上海、深圳、成都等49座城市，并于近期正式上线全国，新增宠物快车车型。

“铲屎官”们只需要打开APP或小程序首页，点击“宠物出行”便可直接进入该服务；若首页未显示，则可通过点击“更多服务”查找。

在首次使用宠物出行服务前，携宠乘客需先填写宠物档案，包括宠物类型、宠物体重等信息，以便平台能匹配到更合适的服务。

司机在抢单时，可以根据乘客填写的宠物信息进行订单筛选。针对司机师傅们顾虑较多的大型犬，也会有专门的标签进行提示，以增强服务的确定性。
