当地时间12月18日晚，俄罗斯摩尔曼斯克州副州长表示，当天发生在该州的火车相撞事故受伤人数增至27人。
当天稍早时，俄罗斯摩尔曼斯克州州长称，该州南部一列客运列车与货运列车相撞。有一名约50岁左右的女性乘客身亡，其具体身份还在核实当中。有消息称，该客运列车上乘客数量超过300人。
