迈克-布朗执教国王的第一个赛季（20222-23赛季），就将阔别季后赛17年的国王队重新带回季后赛。2023年4月20日，NBA官方宣布，国王队主帅迈克-布朗当选本赛季最佳教练。迈克-布朗也成为了自1962-63赛季该奖项诞生以来，NBA首位全票当选最佳教练的主帅。
