当地时间25日上午8点48分，美国西南航空公司一架客机在芝加哥米德韦国际机场降落时，因一架私人公务机突然进入跑道滑行而被迫中止降落。西南航空公司表示，这架从内布拉斯加州奥马哈飞往芝加哥的波音737-800型客机在复飞后最终安全降落。
据悉，事发时这架私人公务机正准备飞往田纳西州诺克斯维尔，当时未经允许便进入跑道滑行。目前，美国联邦航空管理局正在调查该事件。
