根据《朝阳市低空经济高质量发展行动方案（2025 —2027 年）的通知》 得知， 为发展低空经济，朝阳计划在2027 年前在 凌源小城子建设A1类通用机场一座， 占地面积600 亩。机场建筑包括，长1800 米、宽23 米跑道1 条，180 米乘以72 米停机坪5 个、另外还有航站楼等设施。
