据《体坛周报》副总编马德兴报道，国足在世界杯预选赛前的热身赛当中3-1击败科威特。
本场比赛于北京时间3月16日01:30在迪拜进行，比赛过程全程封闭。根据马德兴的报道，国足在本场比赛当中由李磊和拜合拉木各入一球，另一球则是对方球员不慎打进的乌龙球。
报道还透露，上半场比赛国足就以3-0取得了领先，下半场国足则对阵容进行了轮换。
