3月19日，据报道，一位知情人士透露，小米集团将扩大在建的北京第二座电动汽车生产工厂的规模。小米去年以8.42亿元人民币在北京亦庄地区购买了一块面积为53公顷的土地以建设第二个工厂，工厂定于年中开始生产。前述知情人士说，小米将纳入相邻的一个约52公顷的地块用于扩建。
