莱斯特城发文写道：“缅怀我们敬爱的主席维猜，今天本应是他的67岁生日，永远在我们心中。”
2010年，维猜所拥有的王权集团资助一个名为“亚洲足球投资”的财团，以3900万英镑收购了莱斯特城。2015/16赛季，莱斯特城奇迹般地获得英超冠军创造历史。不幸的是，维猜于2018年10月因直升机事故去世，享年60岁。
