Keynote Speakers
—— Prof. Maskin
—— Prof. Kelman
—— Prof. Torr
—— Prof. Girolami
—— Prof. Cardwell
—— Prof. Lio'
—— Prof. Foley

The world is facing unprecedented challenges which include climate change, global warming, an aging population, and a pandemic. These challenges have no borders and need to be solved globally. It will be the young people of today who meet these challenges head-on. The world will become better with the cultivation of top innovative talents who have social responsibility.
Global Academician Forum was jointly initiated by KingLead and scholars and alumni from Ivy League and Oxbridge. Global Academician Forum is committed to improving education on a global scale, cultivating international and innovative talents, and relying on more than 100 full professors from Ivy League and Oxbridge. The forum is building a world-leading platform for high school students to do research, ignite young people's passion for innovation and scientific research, and help more schools cultivate their students with research literacy. The ultimate goal is to promote our society to emerge more young people with the literacy of international and innovative talents.
Global Academician Forum Recap
KingLead has been organizing the Global Academician Forum since 2021 and has invited national academicians and full professors from Ivy League and Oxbridge as advisors and representatives of the organizing committee of the forum to give speeches on the topic of "Cultivation of Innovative Talents and Improvement of Research Literacy", which brings a feast of scientific research and innovation to the participants.
The organizing committee of the forum upholds the principles of rigor and fairness, selects the best papers by young people in their area and the winners of the international schools in recognition of their outstanding achievements in research and innovation, and expresses heartfelt congratulations to the award-winning students and schools.
●Keynote Speakers ●
"I'd like to offer my congratulations to all the winners of paper awards and the schools where those students come from. Receiving this award proves that you have thought about an important question and worked on it seriously and creatively. Perhaps for some of you, it's the first time you have done real research. I hope that getting this award will stimulate you to think about continuing on a research path, and perhaps eventually to become a professional scientist or innovator."
—— Prof. Maskin
Nobel Laureate in Economic Sciences
Adams University Professor and Professor of Economics and Mathematics at Harvard
Member of the National Academy of Sciences
Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences
"In terms of advice to you, my first and in terms of choosing an area of research, is choose something you are interested and care about, fascinated about. Don't choose research as a career unless you really care about doing it. Choose topics you are interested in and try to choose topics where you can help society and help other people through your research. I've always tried to do all that in my research."
—— Prof. Kelman
Chaired Professor, Harvard University
Member of the National Academy of Public Administration
"But it's always good to have something that you're aiming and but don't be afraid as you go on that journey to adapt. The main thing is to know where you're going. But as a river might change course sometimes to get to the sea, you might also keep that idea that you'll be adaptable as well. So yeah, I think determine your goal in life, and then think how to get there. Think ahead for where you want to be in five years, ten years, 15 years and 20 years, and make sure that you review it periodically."
—— Prof. Torr
Professor of Engineering Science, University of Oxford
Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering
Fellow of the Royal Society
"Judging this time of artificial intelligence, of AI, and the future trends of artificial intelligence is something that I would like to just talk about at the moment... And there is lots of very exciting examples of where AI is being absolutely transformative in giving us this new innovative capability to design new drugs, design new materials, make better forecasts, make more efficient diagnosis."
—— Prof. Girolami
Chaired Professor, University of Cambridge
Chief Scientist of the Alan Turing Institute
Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering
"To innovation research, it's about just much more than you. It's not about getting top marks in every subject. You're gonna need other skills. You're gonna need to be able to communicate your work. You're going to be able to work as part of a team. You're going to have ethics, and you're going to have to acknowledge work in the field by the form of references. So be open-minded. Work with your colleagues or classmates, not against them. Together, you will be stronger than you would be on your own."
—— Prof. Cardwell
Professor of Superconducting Engineering, University of Cambridge
Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering
"I wish you to develop three virtues. One is the curiosity, because the curiosity brings interdisciplinarity. The other is passion, because the patient will bring a scientific, meticulous behavior. The fact that you, you are really following facts and you are showing a very strict ethical concern about, judging the both are the information that you are investigating. And then a strong willingness to contribute to society."
—— Prof. Lio'
Professor of Computer Science, University of Cambridge
Member of the Academia Europaea
"Many congratulations to all the winners who have received awards. These are great achievements, both for you individually and for the teachers and schools that supported you. Still, looking forward, you can think how best to work seriously and creatively, how to overcome difficulties and challenges, how to grasp opportunities, and how to be inquisitive about all around you."
—— Prof. Foley
Chaired Professor of Human Evolution, University of Cambridge
Member of the British Academy
"So I will talk a little about innovation. Overwhelmingly, the most consistently found characteristic of innovators is persistence. It is defined as continuously striving and committing to goals regardless of immediate rewards. It is one of the most critical of creative attitudes. Innovators also are passionate about and committed to the goals which compels them to persist most physically and mentally. They never quit continuing, even when they experience challenges, setbacks and failures."
