财联社4月23日电，三位直接知情人士称，美国财政部长斯科特·贝森特表示，如果全球性冲击危及阿根廷总统哈维尔·米莱正在推进的经济改革，特朗普政府将愿意向阿根廷政府提供一项特定的信贷额度。知情人士称，贝森特周二在华盛顿参加摩根大通的活动时表示，只要米莱继续推行其经济政策，如果发生并非阿根廷自身过错的事件，美国政府将愿意动用外汇稳定基金（Exchange Stabilization Fund, ESF）支持阿根廷。
