近日，在甘泉县下寺湾镇雨岔水库的浅滩上，出现了一些令人惊喜的身影——国家三有保护动物灰头麦鸡，它们时而在水中低头啄食，时而踱步前行。灰头麦鸡属中型水鸟，被称为“湿地守望者”，常栖息于平原草地、沼泽、湖畔等区域，因其奔跑速度快，也有“湿地里的田鼠”的称号。
